Adjustments to Performance Location

In our original storyboard we had 2 performance scenes:





One with our actress singing in front of a white screen..

And the other infront of a black screen..

We have decided to take out one of these scenes so that we will be able to replace it with more narration, which will improve the pace and interest of the piece. The overall character of our song is very rock chic, favouring keeping the black screen scene. A further element that favours the black is our lighting experiment. The white screen was perhaps the most tedious element to watch in our anamatic and so we will remove this scene.

Now that we only have one performance scene, we need to ensure that it is dramatic and powerful. Using the black screen does make our music video more mainstream, however it works really well with the genre. The lighting experiment that we carried out a couple of days ago gave us hope as we were really impressed with aspects of it. From this experiment we have a better understanding of which shots will look the best and thus which shots to include in our storyboard.
