We have decided to have flashbacks of her and her ex being happy and inlove, then falling out for some reason. To fit even closer with the song's lyrics we will use aspect of the lyrics in what he does to annoy her. After looking at a song from Kelly Clarkson we would like to include interesting transitions between the two. We will switch between the past and the present using these transitions but because of Bjornberg's theory, it will create a multiple centripetal process.
We started of with a list of possible ideas for each of these flashbacks these included:
-pub
-snooker table
-sofa
-kitchen
-café
-restaurant
-college
-park
After discussing these scenes and possibilites in each we have come to a decision that we will have 3 flashbacks..
Scene 1)
Pub/Snooker table
We have chosen to introduce our first flashback at the pub, our actress will walk into the pub in the present, and then as a person walks by (filling the screen) it will transfer to a flash back of them being happy at the pub, we had the idea that he could be helping her to play pool and then as she 'breaks' the balls, she looks up to see him at the bar, flirting with another girl.
Scene 2)
The second flashback is of her and her boyfriend on the sofa with some pop corn, feeding eachother the pop corn and throwing it at each other. In this scene the boyfriend will get a call and immediately answer it and walk out on her, leaving her on the sofa alone.
Scene 3)
Kitchen
The last flashback will be to them in the kitchen. We will create the upbeat and happy atmosphere with the mise en scene. They will be siting oposite eachother, with a candle in the middle of them, there will also be glasses of red wine on the table, this will sugest that the intention of the meal was romantic and happy, but then we see them arguing, resulting in her walking out of the shot because she is upset with him.
